Happy 4th of July
Happy Birthday, Kennedy
Where does the time go? I have just put you to bed after a wonderful day of celebrating your birthday. As I laid you down, I asked you if you had a good birthday and you answered with a hug and a kiss. I love that about you. You are my cuddle bug and love to give hugs. As I sit here writing this, I think back to what a year we have had. You have grown into a very lively 2 year old. Here are a few things about you as you turn 2 today.....
1. You weigh 26 lbs. and have very small feet.
2. You are saying more words with every passing day. You favorite now is telling everyone that you are "2" and you hold up all 5 of your fingers.
3. You do not like to eat meat, so we have to sneak it to you with ketchup and various sauces.
4. You miss your sister when she is gone. I love that about the two of you. The bond you share is amazing.
5. You do not want to get rid of your pacifiers yet....even though I have cut the nipples off a few of them.
6. And finally, You are loved
Kennedy, you are amazing. You always make us laugh. You love to wear Mommy's shoes and Daddy's shorts around the house. I can not wait to see what the next year has in store for us. You will be starting school 2 days a week and NanNan will be keeping you. Always know that we love you and that you are a blessing to our family.

Turning 30.....
When I look back on the last 3o years of my life, I am amazed. I was so blessed to grow up with an amazing family and parents that love me. I remember being in college and talking with friends about what I wanted out of life. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher, mother, and wife someday. The teaching part I knew would happen, but the other stuff was in God's hands. I have been so blessed with an amazing husband and 2 wonderful little girls. When I think about my life, I honestly feel that I have everything I have ever wanted. I have friends that are so special that they throw me a suprise birthday party. I have a life that is centered around God and all his wonderful blessings. As I look ahead to the next 30 years, I can only hope that I am half the parent to my children that they were to me. I look forward to growing old with John and seeing our girls grow up to become beautiful young women. I am embracing my 30's with joy and knowledge that God is good.
Some of my best friends got together and planned a little swimming party. Little did I know that it was actually a suprise birthday party for me. It was great. It was nice and small and the kids just played. I actually broke their schedule and they were out past 10:00 ( I know, shocking). We had a great time. I am so blessed.

Little Ballerina
McKinlea had picture day at her dance studio. They are getting ready for the recital in June. She was so excited to get to wear make-up. Her favorite part was putting on "eyescara" and lipstick. I can not believe how big she is getting. She is a miracle I am thankful for every day!

Bike Time
McKinlea got her first bike on Friday. She loves it. We have taken her to several school parking lots to let her ride around. That seems to be much easier than trying to manuever around cars and people. She is doing a great job. I look at her and can not belive how big she is getting. Seems like she was just learning how to walk. Time flies so fast. We have learned how to enjoy every minute of it.
