A day in the Life......

McKinlea could not resist putting on my boots when I got home from work.
McKinlea and Daddy cooking dinner. What a big helper!

Here is McKinlea and Cousin Addley in Lufkin one weekend. Talk about a hand full!
They are very entertaining!

McKinlea has mastered the art of helping NanNan feed Kennedy. She is such a big helper.

Meme came to visit and brought McKinlea her winter stuff. You would never know it was 70 outside.
Needless to say from looking at the pictures our lives are never dull. McKinlea (3 yrs) and Kennedy (6 months) keep us busy and always smiling. They are such a joy. We can hardly wait for Kennedy to get a little bigger and really be able to play with her sister. My prayer is that McKinlea will continue to love her sister as much as she does now. We will have to wait and see!

Weekend at the Farm

McKinlea got to go to the farm with Papaw, Uncle Scott, and Aunt Jennifer before school started again. She had so much fun. Her favorite part was scraping the corn out of the feeders. She also enjoyed sitting on the tractor, as long as it was parked on the trailer. McKinlea and Meme were in charge of cooking at the farm. She loved to mix the pancake batter.

Holy Family

We were asked to be the "Holy Family" at church this year. McKinlea got to be the little lamb. She was precious. Of course Kennedy was "Baby Jesus". It was very hard to not put a bow in her hair! I was very proud of John for participating...I thought he made a great Joseph.

Holidays 2008

Wow, I can not believe it is already 2009. How time flies. We are doing great and had a wonderful holiday season. McKinlea understood for the first time that Santa comes and gives gifts. She was just worried he would visit her in her room. I assured her he would only stay in the living room. We also sent her pacifiers home with Rudolph. That was a huge deal.

My 1st Christmas

We are finding it is really hard to get a 5 month old to pose for a picture. These were the best we could do. She did smile at least!

Santa 2008

We headed to Bass Pro Shop in Katy to see Santa. We had been telling McKinlea all week how nice he was. I think she finally got it. She did great....notice Santa is not holding her. The girls did great. We could not resist putting Kennedy in the crate full of bears. She was too cute. McKinlea's favorite thing was the little tent. She was ready to go camping. Too bad it was freezing outside.
Have a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Pics....2008. We tried very hard to get the pictures to look perfect, but as you know with 2 little ones that is nearly impossible. We picked the best one for our Christmas card, even if Kennedy was sucking on her fist.
